The BHT-009 Matter thermostat comes in three main models, each designed for a specific heating system. Ensure you use the correct wiring diagram for your model (GA, GB, or GC).

- GA (Water Heating): Connects to water heating systems.
- GB (Electric Floor Heating): Connects to electric floor heating systems.
- GC (Gas Boiler): Connects to gas boiler systems.
Refer to the specific connections shown in the diagram. The thermostat requires an AC95-240V power supply. Use wires of 2 x 1.5 mm² or 1 x 2.5 mm² for terminals.

The thermostat is designed to fit into a standard 86 x 86mm square or European 60mm round installation box. Secure the thermostat to the wall box using the provided screws after completing the wiring.
5. Initial Setup and Smart Home Integration
5.1 App Pairing (Tuya Smart Life)
To connect your thermostat to the Tuya Smart Life app:
- Ensure your home Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz.

The BHT-009 Matter thermostat supports direct connection via app scan to Matter-compatible smart home ecosystems, eliminating the need for a separate gateway.
- For Amazon Alexa and Google Home: Once paired with the Smart Life app, enable the "Smart Life" skill/service in your Alexa or Google Home app and link your accounts. The thermostat should then appear as a controllable device.
