The MAIMEIMI P16 Car HUD (Head-Up Display) OBD2 LCD Meter is designed to enhance your driving experience by displaying crucial vehicle data directly in your line of sight. This device connects to your car's OBD2 interface via a cable, presenting information such as vehicle speed, engine RPM, water temperature, fuel consumption, and voltage. By keeping your eyes on the road, it helps prevent distractions caused by looking down at the dashboard. The P16 does not alter any car ECU data.

Please read the following compatibility information carefully before installation:
- Vehicles before 2008: This HUD is NOT compatible with cars manufactured before the year 2008 (including 2008).

- Specific Incompatible Models:
- American models: Not for Dodge, JEEP, Sail, Chrysler (models produced before 2004 and 2004).
- French and Italian models: Not for Fiat, Maserati, Lamborghini, DS, Peugeot, Citroen, Renault, Simka, Amirca.
- Japanese models: Not for Suzuki, Mazda 6, Infiniti (QX50, Q50, Q501), 2013 Toyota Avanza, Lexus (IS250, EX250, ES300H), Honda (Jazz, CRV), and cars produced before 2008.
- South Korean models: Some models of Kia and Hyundai (e.g., 2013 Hyundai Sonata, 2017 Kia Soul PS).
- Бусад: Petrol-electric hybrid and diesel vehicles, pickup trucks, RVs, cars modified with car computers, all brand models under Swiss Volvo, Chrysler Group, and Fiat Group.
- This product is only compatible with cars using the OBD2 protocol and EU-OBD protocol (European region: produced after 2003; Other regions: produced after 2007). It does not support JOBD and OBDI.

The P16 HUD is designed for easy plug-and-play installation.
- Place the non-slip mat on your car's dashboard in a suitable position.
- Attach the HUD unit to the rotating bracket and place it on the non-slip mat. The 360° rotating suction cup mount allows you to adjust the visual angle and height for optimal viewing.
- Locate your vehicle's OBD2 port (usually under the dashboard on the driver's side).
- Connect the provided OBD interface cable to the HUD unit and then to your car's OBD2 port.
- Ensure the product power switch is turned on (if applicable).
- Start your car engine to power on the HUD.

5.1 Key Functions (Setting Button)
The device is primarily controlled using a single setting button, which can be pushed left/right or pressed short/long.

5.2 Function Abbreviations
The display uses the following abbreviations for various parameters:

5.3 Setting Mode (Menu Mode)
To enter the setting mode, long press the setting button. Push right/left to navigate through the menu options, and short press to confirm a selection. Long press for 5 seconds to save changes and exit.

5.5 Error Code Management

6. Алдаа засах
If you encounter any issues with your P16 HUD, refer to the following troubleshooting guide:

Screen without display, no power:

- Ensure the product power switch is on.
- If still no display, test the HUD in another car to determine if the issue is with the device or the car's OBD diagnostic interface. Repair the car's interface if necessary.

Only shows car voltage and auto-powers off after 30 seconds:
- This product is only compatible with OBD2 and EU-OBD protocol cars (European region: produced after 2003; Other regions: produced after 2007).
- It does not support JOBD and OBDI. Test with another compatible car.

Device is stuck or crashes during driving:
- Check if other OBD devices are connected to the same interface. Remove them and perform a factory reset on the P16.
- If the issue persists, try the device in another car.

- Adjust the "RPM Alarm" or "Speed Alarm" values in the settings menu to your desired thresholds.

Device does not auto-power off:
- If the device displays speed after the vehicle turns off, adjust the "Speed Offset" value to match the displayed speed (e.g., if it shows 5 KM/H, set offset to 5 KM/H).
- If the device displays RPM after the vehicle turns off, adjust the "Sleep Voltage" setting to 13.2V or higher.

Auto start/stop cars:
- Change the "Power Off Time" setting to 180-240 seconds.

Car dashboard fault code brightens:
- Universal OBD devices support multiple communication modes, but each car typically supports only one. If this occurs, you may need to identify the correct protocol for your car and, if necessary, use pliers to remove unneeded pins from the OBD cable. (When the vehicle turns on, unplug and re-plug the OBD cable; it will display the protocol).
Warning: If you do not use the HUD for a long time, please unplug the cable.

Try unplugging and re-plugging the OBD cable while the car is on to see the detected protocol, and consult the manual for advanced troubleshooting regarding pin removal if necessary.
