Proper planning is crucial for a successful installation of your BLANCO IKON sink. This section outlines important considerations for both countertop fabrication and cabinet construction.
3.1 Countertop Fabrication
Countertop templates are not included with the sink due to the high level of customization required. Your countertop fabricator must use the actual sink for templating prior to fabrication.

3.2 Cabinet Construction
A custom sink base and reinforcement system are required to support the weight of the IKON sink (up to 400 lbs). The cabinet area beneath the sink must be reinforced.
- Ensure proper clearance for the faucet, water supply lines, drain assembly, and garbage disposal system while maintaining the structural integrity of the cabinet.
- The cabinet panels on each side of the IKON will need to be custom cut to fit the 2-degree vertical apron angle. A cabinet fabrication template is included with the sink and can also be downloaded from the BLANCO webсайт.
