Before first use, fully charge your Kindle Oasis. Connect the included USB 2.0 charging cable to the device and a 5W power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours.

To power on, press and hold the power button located on the top edge of the device until the screen illuminates. To put the device to sleep, briefly press the power button. To power off completely, press and hold the power button until a power dialog appears, then select "Power Off".

Page Turn Buttons and Touchscreen
Navigate through books using either the physical page turn buttons located on the side of the device or by tapping the left/right sides of the touchscreen. The device's orientation can be rotated, and the function of the page turn buttons will adjust accordingly.
