The Technaxx OBD II Code Reader TX-184 is a compact and user-friendly diagnostic tool designed to help vehicle owners quickly identify and resolve issues related to their vehicle's engine system. Select "Read Codes" from the main menu. The device will scan the vehicle's engine control unit (ECU) for stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). It displays both generic (P0, P2, P3, B0, C0, U0) and manufacturer-specific (P1, P3, B1, C1, U1) codes along with their definitions.

After diagnosing and resolving a fault, select "Erase Codes" to clear the DTCs from the vehicle's ECU and turn off the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL), also known as the Check Engine Light. Ensure the ignition is on but the engine is off before performing this function. Clearing codes will also clear all monitor readiness data.

Retrieve important vehicle information such as the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), Calibration Identification (CIN), and Calibration Verification Number (CVN).
