For testing installed cables, separate the host and remote units. For testing patch cables, the remote unit can be detached or kept attached to the host unit.

4.3 POE (Power over Ethernet) Testing

The NF-468CS can test the power supply status of POE switches and powered devices.

  1. Connect the network cable from the POE source (e.g., POE switch) to the RJ45 port on the host unit.
  2. The tester will automatically detect the POE power supply type and status.
  3. Observe the LED indicators:

4.4 Interpreting Test Results

The LED indicators provide visual feedback on the cable's condition:
