The Performance Tool W2015 torch is shipped without butane. You will need to purchase high-quality butane gas separately. The torch has a capacity of approximately 12-13 grams of butane.
- Ensure the torch is completely cool and the flame is off.
- Turn the torch upside down to expose the refill valve located at the bottom of the handle.
- Align the nozzle of the butane gas canister with the refill valve on the torch.
- Press the canister firmly down into the valve. You will hear a hissing sound as the butane transfers. Hold for approximately 10-15 seconds, or until the tank appears full. Do not overfill.
- Remove the butane canister and wait a few minutes for the gas to stabilize and any excess gas to dissipate before attempting to ignite the torch.

- While holding the ignition trigger, slide the flame lock switch (if present) into the locked position.
- Release the ignition trigger; the flame will remain on.
- To turn off the flame, slide the flame lock switch back to the unlocked position, or briefly press the ignition trigger again.
