The timer requires 4 AA alkaline batteries (not included). Locate the battery compartment on the back of the unit. Slide the battery tray out, insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators, and slide the tray back in until it clicks securely. 2. Attaching to Faucet
Screw the timer's brass inlet directly onto your outdoor faucet. Hand-tighten until secure. Do not overtighten. The 360° swivel inlet allows for easy positioning without twisting the entire unit.

Turn the control dial to 'SET CLOCK'. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the current time. Press 'OK' to switch between setting hours and minutes. Once set, turn the dial to 'ON' to save changes.
2. Programming Start Time
Turn the control dial to 'START TIME'. Press the 'ZONE' button to select the desired watering zone (1, 2, 3, or 4). Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the specific start time for that zone. Press 'OK' to confirm. Repeat for other zones as needed.
3. Setting Watering Duration ('HOW LONG')
Turn the control dial to 'HOW LONG'. Press the 'ZONE' button to select the desired watering zone. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the watering duration (from 1 minute to 3 hours 59 minutes). Press 'OK' to confirm. Repeat for other zones. If duration is set to 0 hour and 0 minute, the program for that zone will not run.
4. Setting Watering Frequency ('HOW OFTEN')
Turn the control dial to 'HOW OFTEN'. Press the 'ZONE' button to select the desired watering zone. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the watering frequency (from 1 hour to 12 hours, or from 1 day to 7 days). Press 'OK' to confirm. Repeat for other zones. Note: If 'HOW LONG' is greater than 'HOW OFTEN', the program will automatically skip cycles until the duration fits the frequency.

5. Activating Automatic Watering
After programming all desired settings, turn the control dial to 'ON'. The timer will now operate according to your programmed schedule. The LCD screen will flash between the next watering start time and the current time when watering is OFF, and display the remaining time of the current program when watering is ON.

To manually water without interrupting preset programs, turn the dial to 'ON'. Long press the 'OK/MANUAL' button (3 seconds). Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired watering duration (from 1 minute to 6 hours). Press 'OK' to confirm. The selected zone(s) will start watering immediately. To cancel manual mode, turn the dial to 'OFF' and then back to 'ON'.

To temporarily pause your watering schedule due to rain, turn the dial to 'ON'. Long press the '+/DELAY' button (3 seconds). Use the '+' and '-' buttons to select a delay period of 0, 24, 48, or 72 hours. Press 'OK' to confirm. The timer will pause for the selected duration and then resume its programmed schedule. To cancel the rain delay, long press the '+/DELAY' button again.

Turning Off Valves
To turn off a specific valve or all valves, turn the dial to 'HOW LONG'. Press the 'ZONE' button to select the zone you wish to turn off. Use the '-' button to set the hour to 0 and the minute to 0. Press 'OK' to confirm. This will effectively turn off the valve for that zone. Repeat for other zones as needed. Alternatively, turning the dial to 'OFF' will stop all watering.

Resetting Valves (Self-Test)
If you experience issues with valve operation or for initial setup, you can perform a self-test to reset the valves:
- Attach the timer to your faucet.
- Turn the faucet to maximum water flow.
- Remove the battery case and wait for the screen to turn blank (this may take 1-2 minutes).
- Keep the dial at the 'ON' position.
- Press and hold the 'OK/MANUAL' button. Insert the battery case back at the same time.
- Release the 'OK/MANUAL' button. The four valves will start a self-test, opening and closing in sequence.
- You can repeat this test until all four valves work well.
- After all valves work well, remove the battery case to stop the self-test. Wait for the screen to turn blank, then re-insert the battery case. You can now use the timer.
